He’s Back!

It’s that time of year again, when he shows his face

Standing in the window in his usual place

Looking oh so jolly wearing a huge big smile

Welcoming all those shoppers who loiter for a while

And every year I say the same as I take my usual shot

My take a look K at how big his tummy’s got!

He must spend all the rest of the year near where the food is stored

Eating all those pies and cakes so that he doesn’t get bored.

Because every year I’m sure his tummy’s had to grow

So here’s my usual shot of him standing in the window

I see he's back and fatter than ever!

  2. I love Santas in the windows. Just something about them makes anyone smile. "Bowl full of Jelly?" Of course! Wouldn't look like Santa if he was all buff and trim, yuck. :D

  4. Yes, he is a jolly and round fellow, Technogran, and maybe will need a bigger window next year? BTW I enjoyed the SUpermarket Rules in yesterday's posts. What you referred to as a trolley is called a shopping cart here.

  5. Yes I have found that out. We call them shopping trolleys as we are referring back to that well known saying 'Off your Trolley' meaning slightly bonkers or gaga etc, which is usually how most shoppers end up when pushing these around the supermarket at this time of year.

  6. TG, I just HAD to come back to thank you for that marvelous site you made over on wordpress to let old Spacers have a place to find each other. What a GREAT idea and what a wonderful job you did with that. I didn't even know that I could "fix" a bunch of stuff on my ID over there until now. If you could hear me, you'd hear me cheering for you :D THANKS, TG!

  7. JennyD yes it's a wonder you found it! I will add the module over here on these blogger blogs as well so that hopefully any exspacers who might give me a visit will also see it.

Thanks Jane. He is in the Hartleys window every year at this time.
